The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and Prudential Financial have launched the annual Prudential Spirit of Community Awards for young people who have demonstrated outstanding community service over the past year. Once again, we hope you will encourage your member schools to promote this program to their middle level and high school students.
This unique youth recognition program, created by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), honors middle level and high school students for making meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. The program gives schools an opportunity to reward and shine a spotlight on students who have distinguished themselves through volunteer activities – and an opportunity to call attention to the role that schools play in promoting community service.
Applications for 2019 awards are now open to students in grades 5-12 who have volunteered in the past year. More information on this year’s program is included below.
