MASC’s Winter Conference is the Student Member on the Board of Education (SMOB) spotlight.  The conference will include the selection of the two final nominees for the state SMOB and highlight our SMOBs around the state.  Additional business will include the review/update of MASC’s Platform and an opportunity to learn about youth-related bills in the Maryland General Assembly.

Registration: NOTE: The form will look a little different!
1.  Advisor enters registration information and submits
2.  The invoice is created after registering and a copy will be attached to a confirmation email.
3.  The principal signs the invoice authorizing attendance and guaranteeing payment
4.  The signed invoice is scanned and emailed to the MASC registrar by the submission deadline of 11:59 p.m., Friday, January 17.

5.  The school begins the process of payment

*  Candidates will be campaigning through social media.  In addition, the candidates’ “Meet the Candidates” voter guide will be published before the event so all attendees can view and learn more about the candidates before the event. 

The second major conference of the school year is the Winter Leadership Conference! Students will discover new areas of leadership, learn about youth-related bills in the Maryland General Assembly, meet and greet their local student members on the Boards of Education (SMOB), and participate in selecting the final two nominees for the State SMOB.
