Workshop Presenter Certification:Workshop Presenter Certification Day offers workshops and activities to certify new secondary students as MASC workshop presenters and re-certify those already trained. MASC values peer teaching as a powerful, effective way to develop student leaders, and has built an extensive program to prepare students to deliver engaging, high-quality workshops. As a result, most sessions at MASC conferences are led by students.
Participants in this training will be eligible to apply to present at the Fall Leadership Conference (high school only) and take part in the Legislative Session and Convention as presenters.
Important: Only register if you can attend the entire day. Groups are assigned after registration closes, so if your attendance status changes, please email Karen.Crawford@mdstudentcouncils.org as soon as possible. Registration is open to students in grades 8–12. Seventh graders seeking certification must have their school or regional advisor email Karen.Crawford@mdstudentcouncils.org to confirm attendance at a previous MASC conference.

• Fee: No fee: bring your lunch, a reusable water bottle, and a three-ring binder with a cover insert. Students previously certified are asked to bring their binder and handouts (save trees with less printing). MASC provides drinks and cookies. (We also have some binders available if you don’t have one.) Students getting recertified should bring their binder/handouts from past years, so MASC doesn’t need to duplicate as many handouts.
