Bio: Maggie Rathgeb is a senior at Northern High School in Calvert County. She is passionate about the student’s voice and has been involved in MASC since middle school. Maggie first served in eighth grade as Second Vice President, Student Workshop Coordinator, and Chief of Staff, and is now super excited to serve as Operations Director. Before this year, she has also served as the Calvert County student member of the Board of Education for the school year 22/23. Maggie is also involved in several other clubs at her school, but MASC remains her top priority extracurricular. Outside of student council, Maggie is a part of her school’s tennis team and likes to ski in her free time. She is so excited to continue her leadership journey at MASC!



Graham Snyder

Bio: Graham Snyder (he/him) is a senior enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program at North Hagerstown High School in Washington County. He began his involvement with MASC serving as host staff for the 2023 MASC Convention in Ocean City, and is thrilled to continue his involvement with the organization on the executive board! Graham also serves as the Student Member on the Board of Education in Washington County for the 2023-2024 school year and hopes to increase student involvement in local civics. In school, he runs track and cross country and is the Communications Chair for North Hagerstown High’s Model United Nations club. He loves listening to music, reading, and spending time with friends. He is excited to continue working with MASC!



Anjali Gangalam
River Hill High School
Howard County

Future Leaders Coordinator


Bio: Anjali Gangalam (she/her) is a junior at River Hill High School in Howard County. In MASC, she served as a Divisions 6-8 Liaison and focused on fostering connections with the region, co-hosting a MASC event on the Eastern Shore. She also worked on the MASC Civic Engagement Committee and presented at various conferences. In her county-wide student council, Anjali serves on the School Representation Committee. Outside of student governance, Anjali co-chairs Electrify Our Future, a student-led organization that advocates for changes in building codes to allow for the transition from gas to electric appliances, providing climate, health, and savings benefits. In her free time, she enjoys providing math tutoring services, at no cost, to elementary school students as the president of the We Strive Elementary School Math Club, participating in her school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, and hanging out with her dog, Simba. She is excited to continue her 3rd year at MASC!



Thandi Labor
Rockville High School
Montgomery County

Future Leaders Coordinator


Bio: Thandi Labor (she/her) is a sophomore at Rockville High School in Montgomery County. She started her Student Council journey in 7th grade. She leads the Outreach department of the Special Election Committee (SEC) of the Montgomery County Regional Student Government Association (MCR-SGA). This is her first year on MASC’s Executive board. Thandi is looking forward to inspiring other students to get involved in advocacy through the Future Leader Seminars. Outside of the Student Council, she is a cellist, a member of her school’s black student union, and a lover of Classical, Afro beats, Rap, and R&B music.



Madelynn Kelly
Huntingtown High School
Calvert County

Bio: Madelynn is a junior from Calvert County. In her free time, she loves to go to the beach. Hang out with friends or play lacrosse and soccer. She is the regional president of the Calvert Association of Student Councils (CASC) and her school’s student council Vice President.



Jordan Salkeld
Towson High School
Baltimore County

Student Workshop Coordinator


Bio: Jordan Salkeld is a dedicated student leader who is a sophomore at Towson High School in Baltimore County. This school year is his third year involved in the Maryland Association of Student Councils and his second year serving on the Appointed Staff. During the 2022-23 school year, he served as the Division 3 Liaison where he planned a division-wide event open to all students in the three regions of Division 3, Baltimore County, Harford County, and Baltimore City. The event consisted of students attending a virtual meeting where they learned about advocacy opportunities around the state of Maryland and even had the opportunity to advocate to local Maryland General Assembly Delegates and Senators! This year, he serves as the Student Workshop Coordinator. Jordan is also involved in his regional student council, the Baltimore County Student Councils (BCSC). He has served in positions ranging from Student Training Coordinator to Chief of Staff. Within his school, he is a part of the Law and Public Policy Magnet Program and is involved in various clubs like the Towson High Mock Trial Team.



Jordan Hayes

Bio: Jordan Hayes (she/her) is a Junior at Patuxent High School. She has been an active student government member since the sixth grade. This is her third year as a member of MASC’s appointed staff and her second year as a Student Workshop Coordinator. She has a passion for working with people to create workshops that help mold strong student leaders! Jordan is also serving as the Calvert County Student Member on the Board of Education, she is very excited about advocating for the students of her county and can’t wait to apply the skills she has learned through MASC to this role! Jordan is not only involved in student government, but she is also on her school’s Varsity cheer team, President of the Key Club, President of the Class of 2025 Council, Executive Team member for Patuxent’s social-emotional learning program ‘Paw-talk,’ and an active member of the Student Senate.



Samantha Morris
Perry Hall High School
Baltimore County

Student Workshop Coordinator


Bio: Samantha Morris (she/her) is a Junior at Perry Hall High School in Baltimore County. She has been involved in the Baltimore County Student Councils (BCSC) as an executive board member for three years and will be returning for her fourth year as Chief of Staff. This is her fourth year serving on the Maryland Association of Student Councils’ (MASC) appointed staff and her second year as a Student Workshop Coordinator. She previously served as Division Three Liaison where she created connections between regions. Samantha has a passion for finding commonalities between student leaders and fostering an environment for growth and advocacy. Outside of these organizations, Samantha participates in her school’s Mock Trial team as a lead defense attorney, is a member of her school’s chapter of the National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society, and is the captain of her school’s color guard. She cannot wait to get started this year, and to continue making great memories and change across Maryland.



James McVicker
Harford Technical High School
Harford County

Technical Operations Coordinator


Bio: James (Trae) McVicker is a sophomore at Harford Technical High School studying cyber security in Harford County (HCRASC). This is his 1st year involved with MASC and his 2nd year involved in his County’s Executive Board. He has served as Parliamentarian and MASC Liaison. At the local level, he is currently serving as Harford Tech’s SGA 2nd Vice-President. Outside of student council Trae is on the swim team and runs track. He is very excited to work with the Officers and Executive team this year and ensure that MASC’s online presence is up-to-date and inclusive. He is also excited to improve the hybrid quality of our meeting live streams.
