Bio: James McVicker III, a senior in the Cyber Security program at Harford Technical High School, currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC). In this role, he manages statewide logistics, supports student leaders across Maryland, and ensures the smooth execution of MASC’s major events and initiatives. James previously served as the President of the Harford County Regional Association of Student Councils (HCRASC) and now represents students across the county as the Student Member on the Board of Education.
Beyond student leadership, James is an Information Communication Technology Intern with the Harford County Government and contributed to education policy through his work on the Maryland State Taskforce for Cell Phone Use in Schools. He’s also a varsity track and field athlete, specializing in the long jump and triple jump. After high school, James plans to attend a four-year university to study cybersecurity and defense, aiming to protect critical systems and infrastructure in the digital age.
Bio: Sudenaz is a sophomore at Urbana High School who loves to bake, go to the beach, and spend time with her friends and family. She’s a very proud student leader and is always looking for ways to make things better and support her classmates. She loves to learn new recipes as well as learning other things, too. Sudenaz is creative, dedicated, and always growing as both a student leader and a student.
Bio: Daniel Cornitcher, a senior at Joppatowne High School and a Pathways in Technology Early College High School (PTECH) student at Harford Community College, is currently pursuing his Associate of Science degree in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity and will be graduating in the spring of 2026.
Daniel will be serving his second term as MASC’s Parliamentarian, where he leads workshops, participates asa co-chair of the documents revision committee, and advises students about parliamentary procedure. He also serves as the Programs Director for the youth 501(c)(3) Global Compromise Collective, managing an international fellowship program to combat political polarization and increase civic engagement in young people from across the globe.
At the local level, Daniel serves as the Student Advisor & Chief of Staff for Joppatowne’s Student Government, supporting the restructuring of the council, planning events, and supporting students and advisors alike.
Daniel plans to combine his technical background in cybersecurity with his passion for diplomacy by studying International Relations and Public Policy for the remainder of his undergraduate education.
Bio: Siya Jain, a sophomore at Severn Run High School, currently serves in her second year as a Student Workshop Coordinator (SWC) for the Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC). In her position as SWC, Siya trains student leaders to become MASC Certified Workshop Presenters as part of the certification program, as well as selects, reviews, and edits hundreds of workshop sessions that are offered at all MASC conferences, providing student leaders with essential skills to thrive.
Outside of MASC, Siya serves as an active member of numerous leadership organizations, such as the Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils (CRASC), alongside being the two-time President of the Severn Run High School Class of 2028. She participates in many clubs, including Aevidum, Model United Nations, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). In her free time, she enjoys binge-watching TV shows, playing board games, baking, painting, attending concerts, and curating playlists for any occasion.
Bio: Manreet Anand (she/her) is a junior at Eastern Technical High School in Baltimore County, enrolled in the Academy of Health Professions program. She has been involved with MASC for the past four years and has returned for her second year on the appointed staff. At the regional level, Manreet has been involved in the Baltimore County Student Councils (BCSC) for the past five years and currently serves as the BCSC President. Manreet has a strong passion for student leadership and advocacy!
In addition to her student council roles, she is active in her school’s SkillsUSA chapter, Chamber Orchestra, and South Asian Student Union, among other activities. Her hobbies include reading, listening to music, and spending time with friends! Manreet is excited to be part of the MASC family and working with all of the amazing presenters!
Bio: Riya is highly involved with her school. She is the President of the Class of 2028 and a member of Key Club. In addition, she plays an active role in student government—within the Calvert Association of Student Government (CASC), she serves as the First Vice President. Riya loves spending time with friends, meeting new people, and creating positive change. She is also very excited to be a SWC (Student Workshop Coordinator) for this school year and is helping to make conferences fun and interactive for everyone! Outside of her leadership roles, Riya enjoys art and expressing her creativity through various projects. She is always eager to lend a hand and helps out whenever her school needs support, whether it’s volunteering at events or assisting with school-wide initiatives.
Bio: Shayaan Wadkar is a senior at Poolesville High School in Montgomery County. He has been involved with student advocacy for 6 years now, serving as the president of his county’s middle school regional student government association. In high school, Shayaan has expanded his interests, exploring the STEM side of his passions. He serves as the captain of his FIRST Robotics Team, which is world-renowned, with a finalist appearance in the international robotics competition. He also spends time working on personal projects, building websites/apps to help his community, and connecting his passion for student advocacy to his passion for computer science.
