Bio: Hali Duong (she/her) is a senior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Richard Montgomery High School. In the Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC), she previously served as a Student Workshop Coordinator, where she worked to empower student leaders across the state to share their own experiences. Hali currently serves as the President of the Montgomery County Regional Student Government Association (MCR-SGA), representing over 50,000 high schoolers in Montgomery County. Hali has been involved in MCR-SGA for four years, previously serving as a Service Coordinator, Workshops Director, and Chief of Staff of Special Projects. Additionally, as the Advocacy and Policy Director of the Asian American Progressive Student Union, Hali works to ensure that AAPI voices are uplifted in policy-making decisions.

Outside of her advocacy work, Hali enjoys competing on her varsity Mock Trial team, coaching public forum debate, and teaching piano to elementary schoolers. This year, through her work with MASC, Hali is excited to help create a more welcoming and inclusive space for all student leaders!
