The Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC) is comprised of the student governments/councils of middle and high schools in Maryland. Since 1950, MASC has fostered a statewide community of youth leadership development, advocacy, and collaboration.
MASC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and contributions to MASC are tax-deductible as allowed by law. MASC has complete discretion and control over the use of donated funds, however, donors may designate usage if desired.

Leadership Development
MASC holds various conferences and forums around the state for students throughout the year. At these events, students participate in workshops written by students for students, share ideas during round-table discussions, hear special speakers, and interact with panels of legislators or other professionals.

Student Advocacy – We advocate and communicate with the Maryland General Assembly, the State Board of Education, as well as other interest groups in support of student rights and other youth-related issues.

Promote Communication – Student leaders around the state unite under MASC through extensive networks that enable them to share ideas, solve problems, and gather as a general assembly to take stances on issues.

How are my donations used? – Donations will go towards speakers, materials, facilities, and other program costs. As a predominately student-led organization, donations are vital for the success of MASC.
