Maryland Student Advisory Council (MSAC) – Maryland State Department of Education

Application Deadline: September 14, 2026

The Maryland Student Advisory Council gives Maryland public school students the opportunity to share their perspectives on education policy directly with the State Superintendent of Schools and serve as liaisons between students and the Maryland State Department of Education.

Eligibility:

  • Current junior or senior enrolled in a Maryland public school
  • Able to participate in virtual meetings and travel to meetings in the Baltimore area when required
  • Must submit parent/guardian and principal permission

Student-led group focused on advocating for fully-funded, equitable public schools in Maryland.
